I really think that what Obama fully understands, is that the USA is busy MAKING enemies right and left, pardon the pun, and he will work at making sure people don't actually hate our guts and WANT to attack us.
And seriously, when was the last terrorist attack?? I don't remember there being one in forever.. I'm afraid my friend, that you've bought the hype.
wait- I forgot- what was so scary in the "pre-9/11 world" again? Less fearmongering? Mitigated jingoism? No Patriot Act? Jesus, that does sound like a pretty scary place.
